EB-3 Visa for Nurses
Employment-based immigration: third preference, or EB-3, is an immigration visa that allows nurses to be employed in the U.S. as permanent residents while working toward their citizenship. Under this process, healthcare employers sponsor nurses to obtain visas and become “green card” holders.
TN visa
The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), formerly known as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), created special economic and trade relationships for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The TN nonimmigrant classification permits qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens to seek temporary entry into the United States to engage in business activities at a professional level.
You may be eligible to work in the United States as a USMCA professional in the TN nonimmigrant classification if you meet the following conditions:
- You are a citizen of Canada or Mexico;
- Your profession is included in the USMCA;
- The position in the United States requires a USMCA professional;
- You will work in a prearranged full-time or part-time job for a U.S. employer or entity; and
- You have the qualifications to practice in the profession in question.
